Crystal library to retrieve your system's network interface addresses.

Installation

Add this to your application's shard.yml:

dependencies:
  interface_address:
    github: t-richards/interface_address
    version: ~> 1.0.0

Usage

require "interface_address"

InterfaceAddress.get_interface_addresses.each do |a|
  puts a.interface_name      # interface_name : String
  print "  IP: "
  puts a.ip_address.address  # ip_address : Socket::IPAddress
  print "  NETMASK: "
  puts a.netmask.address     # netmask : Socket::IPAddress
end

The output of the above program might look something like this:

lo
  IP: 127.0.0.1
  NETMASK: 255.0.0.0
eth0
  IP: 192.168.1.2
  NETMASK: 255.255.255.0
lo
  IP: ::1
  NETMASK: ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
eth0
  IP: fe80::1ff:fe23:4567:890a
  NETMASK: ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff::
